‘Attitude’ is the latest release from deep house specialist Martin Landsky. Following on from a recent stint of remixing, Landsky’s first release for the Motek label in 2020 comes in the form of his incredible Attitude EP. The original mix of the title track is bouncy and danceable from its opening moments. The staccato, retro-sounding bassline is addictively minimalist, giving itself even more power when combined with 808 hi-hats and a spoken word sample which slowly allows itself more and more experimental manipulation. The track takes a turn pretty early on, replacing this club-like sound with a smooth, keyboard-led funk that progresses until a jazzy, short, delay-heavy solo leads us towards the end of the track.
